About the Practice

About the Practice

Boronia Medical Centre was established in 1947 and was the first medical practice to open in Boronia. The centre is located in the health care hub of the city of Knox. Being surrounded by the local hospitals and specialist centres gives us the opportunity to be affiliated with:

  • Travel Medicine Alliance (member of)
  • GP Registrar Training Practice for the EV GP Training

Please book online by clicking book an appointment button or by calling our clinic. Please make sure you select the correct option when booking online. Chronic medical conditions eligible for a goverment funded flu include:

  • heart disease
  • severe asthma (requiring frequent medical consultations or use of multiple medications)
  • chronic lung conditions
  • diseases of the nervous system which affect your breathing
  • impaired immunity
  • diabetes
  • kidney disease
  • haemoglobinopathies
  • children aged six months to 10 years on long-term aspirin therapy

The following groups are also eligible for government funded flu vaccine:

All children 6 months to less than 5 years
All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 6 months and over 
65 years and over
Pregnant women

All private vaccines are $20. The consult is bulk billed.
